What a stupid idea. I dont like GG some of the shit she pulled was really lame. And like already stated it was her Job. Oh and what i dislike more than GG is all these fanboys sucking up to her

shes already getting a friking planetwide event.

a twitching madwoman npc, wandering and gibbering about "customer relations" yeah that would be cool.

no gravestones, lets save that for when someone really dies.

Then we could have a funeral conga march and stuff.

no way - what a ridiculous idea.

Rurik deserves more than Gaile and Rurik is a Fag!

/Signed for a Gaile monument in LA and an Andrew monument in Balthazars Temple.

Seriously though, from reading some of the posts here as well as others over the years, she deserves far more than a simple ingame monument. >_>

Ummm yea..great idea for a PERSONAL statue. for YOUR guild hall. or something along those lines.

it should cost around 300k, plus mats for building.

I mean, come on....this is getting ridiculous. after all people, it was her decision to roll, most people never even heard of her. (and she is bettering herself I hope). a world-wide party(event) should be more than enough.

No. I'd rather Izzy, he has much greater infamy. And the April 1 'game update' notes were hilarious.

I know! We'll immortalize you with a holiday. We'll call it "Earthday". Okay, so it's already taken, but you and I will know it's "real" meaning from now on.
Woo! Go me!

Seriously though, while I agree Gaile has done alot for the (PvE mainly) community, a monument would be a bit too much, don't you think?

Im just gonna say it since I have not seen it yet.

Most of the guild wars community has no frickin idea who Gaile is (everyone staits she is a CR manager or a PR rep) which is a flat out lie.
She is a Forum relations mananger.
I know alot of you had no Idea who Gaile was untill you started reading up on her forums and posts.

not alot of GW players use Guru, wiki, or any other website and most if not all of the other GW websites have the same forum users.

Been playing for 2+ years and I have never 1 time ran into Gaile in game.
I have ran into more of the guru mods and guru users.

So no statue for her.

I think a nice little touch of personality to the game is a nice idea, but not in the form of a statue or monument, but things like:

- a sign somewhere near a simple little house on Shing Jea Island, saying something like: "Dear visitor, I'm currently not at home, because I am travelling the world in search of noteworthy things to scribble down in my journals. Please feel free to leave any messages under my door. The Scribe."

- a sign near a pond on Istan somewhere, saying: "Tadpole Pond. Home of many adventurous frogs. Please do not feed the frogs (... Something else seems to be scribbled here: ) anything but sweets and alcohol!"

- a banner in Lion's Arch at one of the huts at the beach or wherever, saying: "In loving memory of Gaile Gray, who has left in search of new challenges beyond this world."

You know, something that fits into the roleplaying aspect of GW, and gives a little personal recognition to all who work or have worked for GW. Nothing big or fancy, just some little funny extra's, easter eggs if you will.

I've put her in my friends list and have seen her many times. So what does this prove or what does your statement disprove?

(greeks have done much for democracy but I guess we no longer see them in robes in the Agora! the founding fathers did great for the USA, as did the revolutionaries in France and so on ...)
